Tractor dealers gathered at Inlon’s HQ earlier this year for the official Australian launch of the new TYM T75 utility ROPS tractor. Korean manufacturer TYM has taken its place firmly on the Australian stage for good value, high spec tractors backed by a company renowned for its capital investment in R&D.

Gary Surman, Inlon’s Sales & Marketing Manager, explains why demand for Korean tractors is bucking the downward trend in the Australian tractor industry. “The Tractor Machinery Association reported a 9% decline in 2019, yet we’ve seen demand for TYM tractors rise steadily.

“TYM tractors are made in South Korea, where R&D capital investment is among the highest in the world as a percentage of GDP. Budget Indian and Chinese made ROPS tractors tend to be quite basic, and astute buyers know they can get more for their money if they do their research. TYM’s T75 utility ROPS tractor has a 75 horsepower, 4 cylinder, diesel engine with intercooler for better torque. The 12 speed transmission has the shuttle lever ergonomically placed under the steering column for easy changes from forward to reverse. It also features a multidisc push button PTO for smooth engagement, 3 point linkage with hydraulic speed lowering adjustment and a flat operator’s platform to ensure clear unobstructed entry for the operator. The level-lift loader with Euro hitch and a 4-in-1 bucket is standard equipment when a loader is ordered. There’s nothing basic about that!”

    Surman talks about dealer feedback.

TYM dealers reported that enquiries were up so we’re increasing stock levels to meet demand. We’re also expecting more buyer interest this financial year following the recent Federal Government increase in the instant asset write off threshold.
